My Last Daily Post
Today marks my 48th daily weekday post in a row—and it’s my last.
It has been a good run, and I’ve enjoyed the challenge, but it’s time to pivot. Instead of writing a post every weekday, I’m going to be spending more time on editing, crafting, and researching a single weekly post every Wednesday.
I’ve realized I’ve been missing some of my favorite activities of reading, studying, and learning. So that’s what I’m changing my focus to. These new posts will be longer, more formatted, and carefully constructed.
The old posts have typically followed a stream of consciousness. I sit down, try to clear my mind, and I let my fingers tap away until something appears on the screen.
I still don’t have anything against that kind of writing. In fact, I very much enjoy it. It doesn’t always produce the highest quality reads, but it does crank out a surprising number of little golden nuggets.
That’s why I want to switch to a weekly post. I’ll still sit down and write a blog every day, but I won’t post it. Instead, I’ll select the best parts and try to stitch them into a seamless, curated blog post.
For all of you who have continued to read post after post, thank you. It’s an honor to share a glimpse into my mind with each of you. That said, I hope you find extra value, inspiration, strength, or whatever it is you’re looking for in the posts to come.
