Fall of the Ten Clans

Out October 6, 2026

The Eighth Clan has fallen. Calum’s father is dead, the flower box is destroyed, and the only route to the Tuatha is a page of notes in his own handwriting. Book two takes him over the Great Wall — and what’s waiting in the Burly Wood has been waiting three hundred years.

Where book two opens

Four clans fell in four daring moves.

The First for its military training. The Fourth for its science. The Eighth for its builders. The Tenth for its government. The men who took them have declared themselves separate from the Ten Clans and named their new nation Carman.

Forty survivors are sheltering in a hidden fort. Calum O'Brian is fifteen, he has just buried his father, and the artifact that was going to show him the way is in pieces. What he has left is a page of his own handwriting.

Three hundred years, and nobody has crossed that wall on purpose. Brenan is already on the other side of this war without knowing it yet.

The Burly Wood

Everything the clans built a wall to keep out. Mammoth bears. A forest that sings you to a stop. Winged snakes over an impossibly blue river, and a ruined stone city where every door faces the water.

Henry Belrose

A botanist out of Amazonas, 1924, who walked into a cave on Earth and came out somewhere else. He has a revolver, a thinning supply of ammunition, an electric torch nobody on Echo Island can explain, and the only working scientific method on the planet.

The Vnash

Zealots in dark gray robes from somewhere off the island. They read something they call the flow, they take students, and they have travelled a very long way for one specific reason.

It goes darker

An occupation, propaganda, real grief, and a fifteen-year-old with a kill order on him. Still no profanity and nothing graphic on the page — same as book one, same readers.

The Belrose Journals

Henry Belrose keeps a field journal in Amazonas in the summer of 1924. Eight dated entries, three illustrated plates, and a steady scientific hand right up until the world stops being the one he left.

He is not a bonus character. Henry is a main character in Fall of the Ten Clans from roughly the one-third mark to the last page, the journal stops exactly where the novel starts, and every specimen in those plates turns up in the book.

The Clan Games
