About Robert Cade Thompson
Writing Achievements
With nearly a decade of experience crafting stories, poetry, and online content, Cade has focused his work on novels. His books include Echo Island: The Clan Games, which opens a planned five-part YA fantasy series, and Subterrania, the first of a YA science fiction trilogy. He is also a published poet, with poems such as “The Silent Friend” featured in literary contests and other publications.

Bio:
Cade lives in South Carolina, balancing life as a husband, father, and middle school English teacher. Yet, at his core, Cade is a storyteller — a path cemented by earning his Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing from Utah Tech University.
His inspiration stems from a simple, intimate ritual: listening to audiobooks with his wife, Maryn, before bed. The powerful narratives they shared eventually compelled Cade to step from listener to creator, starting the journey of writing his own novels.
In the classroom, he teaches the same age group he writes for, which turns out to be its own kind of research. He also founded and sponsors his school’s robotics club, now roughly thirty students strong.
When he isn’t world-building or planning lessons, Cade is outside. He once guided hikes for Movara Fitness Resort in St. George, Utah, and he still brings that appetite for open country to every page he writes — and to his YouTube channel, where he makes field essays and short nature documentaries about looking a little closer at the world.
