A hand in the sun creating shadow

Poem: Sunlight

Does it count as a poem if it is only two lines long? Either way, here it is:

Light of the sun creates,
The shadow of the hand.

Since this one is so short, I thought it might be fun to expound on it. Personally, I find power in these two lines. “Light of the sun creates” reminds me of various positive aspects of the sun; it grows plants, it keeps us warm, its light reveals. Then the second line, “The shadow of the hand,” points out how even something so good and positive can have diverse effects. Even though light creates much good, it also creates its own opposition. You cannot have dark without light, nor light without dark.
